18th December 2019
As 2019 draws to a close, it is always good to reflect on events that have shaped the business, both self-governed and those out-with our control.
Political instability and uncertainty have undoubtedly had an impact on economic conditions. Businesses, like individuals are reticent to invest in times of despondent flux. That said, uncertainty can create opportunity. After all, many successful entrepreneurs started their businesses during periods of transition.
Here at Munro & Noble, like any business, change happens. The measure of the organisation is how well planned the business is to meet these changes, especially known changes. In the coming months we will have three individuals retire from the firm after many years loyal and sterling service. In preparation for this event, we have been recruiting both experienced solicitors and promoting individuals that have proven to be both client caring and possess excellent legal knowledge. Both Kay Bevans Brown and Laura McCarthy have taken up senior positions. James Noone has brought a new dimension to our litigation department and with Chris Allan strengthening our Executry department, Emma Linn our Corporate & Commercial department, Nicole Killman and Kathleen Sutherland our Conveyancing department, we are looking forward to the challenges 2020 will bring.
For more than 110 years, Munro & Noble has been proud to serve the Highland community. Our core client base consists of private individuals and businesses employing sub 250 staff. We very much focus on providing a personal and bespoke service to all our clients. We have no intention of changing this model. What we would like to do is work hard to improve this service. On that note, I would welcome any suggestions from our existing clients. For instance, when I previously asked for ideas, one client commented that they worked away from home and found it challenging to make payment, either by card over the phone, by cheque, or by bank transfer. This prompted us setting up an online payment facility through the website; which has proven to be extremely helpful to clients.
I would like to thank all our clients for their support over the years and particularly over the last 12 months. If you have an idea on how we can improve our service to you, please email me at: gordonm@munronoble.com
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
